Inspiring a love of reading with Harry Potter Herbology, a Triwizard Tournament and an Adventure Escape Room.

A perfect adventure for those aged 9 -12.

Agenda for the day

8:30am - 8:50am - Refreshments and registration in Big School. Children will be asked to complete an attitude to reading survey on arrival.
8:50am - 9:10am - Assembly in Big School linked to the importance of reading
9:15am - 10:05am - 'The Green Kingdom' Bennett Story Garden workshop and LEGO garden designs
10:05am - 11am - Magical plant design 'Greenwild' workshop
11am - 11:30am - Refreshments and games on Moreton's Piece
11:30m - 12:10pm - Floral cake decorating
12:15pm - 12:45pm - Lunch
12:45pm - 1:15pm - Harry Potter Triwizard Tournament
1pm - 2pm - 'Skandar and the Unicorn Thief' crafts, games and summer reading challenge
2pm - 2:45pm - Jenyns Library escape room
2:45pm - Feedback session in Big School
3pm - Parents collect their children from Big School

Please note that there are 20 places available for children at The Magic of Reading Showcase, and these places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Ages 11 - 16
Many new students join us in Year 7 and benefit from a full induction ahead of starting. The House system from Year 8 upwards is an extension of our pastoral care and central to school life.
