Zac wins Gold for Team GB in Russia

Year 10 student Zac Taylor has won gold in Russia, representing Great Britain in the ETU Triathlon.

The ETU Sprint Triathlon European Championships were held in Kazan in July and included a 750 meter swim, 20k bike race and 5km run.

The various stages included the Kazanka river, city streets of Kazan and then along the Kremlin embankment to the finish watched by thousands of cheering fans.

Zac, who moves up to Year 11 in September is an incredible athlete. He helped this year’s Coast2Coast runners complete the 187 mile route from St Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay earlier this year. The team beat the School record by completing the challenge in just 23 hours and 6 minutes.

Congratulations Zac, the whole School is proud of you.
