Sixth Form preparation for new students

Despite COVID-19, work is well underway to ensure new students joining Wolverhampton Grammar School Sixth Form are welcomed and fully prepared to join our unique school community in September.

From Monday 1st June, all new students will be able to access online, work set by our teachers to help them prepare for their Sixth Form subject choices. These resources will only be available to students joining Wolverhampton Grammar School Sixth Form and will be unique to them, depending on the subjects chosen to study.

New students will be able to follow an online programme of study involving four weeks of teacher directed work followed by the opportunity to undertake an independent research essay related to one of your chosen subjects. Work and resources will be sent to you every Monday morning. Our expert teachers will also be available to contact and will give feedback on the work that you will be able to submit online using our Student Portal known as Firefly.

This work will not only provide the perfect introduction to your Sixth Form subject choices, but will also, we hope, provide some structure to your preparation during the exceptional circumstances that we all find ourselves in.

In order to enable access to our Student Portal, we will require parent/guardian permission to contact their child by email. Please complete the form below to tell us if you are happy for us to include your child in this preparation programme.
