Old Wulfrunians’ Sports Festival is back!

Now that Covid-19 restrictions have eased, we are delighted to confirm that this popular and longstanding annual fixture will take place on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th September 2021.

Providing two sociable days of ‘competitive’ sport, this event is also a wonderful opportunity to catch up with old school friends and teachers.

Golf, football, netball, hockey and, new for this year, rounders, are all on the schedule, see below for further details. Whether in ready made-up teams or as individuals, OWs of all abilities and standards are warmly welcome.

 Friday 10th September

Golf Day – Perton Park Golf Club

Open to OWs and former staff of all ages and ability. Please pre-register by contacting the organiser, Jim Mills (OW 1987), so that he can plan tee off times (from 12.30pm). Jim’s email address is: jim.mills@leaas.co.uk

Friday 10th September

Hockey and Rounders – Wolverhampton Grammar School

From 5pm           In a new format for this year, join us for hockey and rounders.

Refreshments will be available.

Saturday 11th September

Football, Netball and Fives – Wolverhampton Grammar School

From 9am            Registration in the Sports Centre – all players to sign-in before playing

10am                     Football matches begin

10.30am               Netball matches begin

10.30am               Fives matches begin

1pm                       Lunch

Refreshments will be available throughout the morning.

This event simply wouldn’t be the same without support from the side-lines, so please encourage non-playing OWs, family and friends to come along.
