GCSE, AS and A level results day

Students awaiting GCSE, AS and A Level results are reminded about the forthcoming key dates for August.

Please note, these arrangements are for the personal collection of results. Results not collected on the day will be posted. Results will only be handed to a third party if the School has received written permission from the candidate concerned – this should be received by the end of the Summer term. Results will not be emailed/telephoned.

A LEVEL RESULTS: Thursday 17th August in the Sixth Form Library

  • Results – 7.30am (only for those who have been declined by both CF and CI) Mr Hughes, Mrs Clancy and Mr Crust will be available in the Sixth Form Office
  • Results – 8 – 9am: Mrs Preston, Mr Crust, Mr Wood, Mr Anderson and Sixth Form Tutors will issue results

Please note: A number of universities have suggested that there may be more places than normal available through Clearing this Summer. The Telegraph website will have a searchable database of Clearing places from midnight 16th August. Look at University websites in the days leading up to results day and follow the School’s Sixth Form twitter feed @WGS_SIXTH_FORM for updates.

  • Ongoing support will be available on Friday 18th August at School from Mr Hughes, Mrs Clancy and Mr Crust

AS RESULTS: Thursday August 17th in the Sixth Form Library

  • Results – 10 – 10.30am: Mrs Preston, Mr Crust, Mr Wood, Mr Anderson and Form Tutors will issue results
  • Friday 18th August: 9am – 4pm. Mr Hughes, Mrs Clancy and Mr Anderson will be available for interviews and support

GCSE RESULTS: Thursday 24th August in the Sixth Form Library*

  • Results – 9 – 9.30am: Mr Anderson, Mr Hughes, Mr Hall, Mr Crust, Mrs Hills, Mr David, Mrs Harris and Mrs Clarke will be available in the Sixth Form Library
  • Subject Choice Meetings are available from 10am onwards with Mr Hall, Mr Anderson, Mrs Clancy and Mr Hughes
  • Friday 25th August: Ongoing GCSE and Lower Sixth support meetings with staff are available.

*Please note: the Compton Road is closed in both directions between its junction with Chapel Ash and Westland Road for scheduled resurfacing work until Friday 25th August. To use your car to access the School site, follow the vehicular diversions in place. To ease access to the School car parks, entrance/exits may become two way on occasion so please take care when accessing or exiting the site.
