Former student Professor Nile Green (OW 1990) has been elected as the Ibn Khaldun Endowed Chair in World History at UCLA, as well as being nominated as a Guggenheim Fellow.
“I owe much to the education WGS gave me” says Nile, a historian of the multiple globalizations of Islam and Muslims and a Professor of History at UCLA and who has written seven monographs, seven edited books, and over seventy articles on the subject.
