Not one, but two Alumni Engagement Officers joined the Development Office in July. Their main focus is to help OWs remain connected to School and to each other.
‘I am delighted to be joining the development team at WGS. I studied Ancient History at university and previously worked in Customer Success so I am excited to take on the new and different challenge of alumni relations. The warm welcome has been lovely and I am looking forward to building more relationships across the WGS community. I enjoy being outdoors, travelling and anything true crime. I have been vegetarian for just over a year and love everything about food!’
‘New to the Development Office but not new to WGS having worked in the Marketing Department for just over three years. Both my children are current students and I can see the impact the School has had on them in a relatively short period of time. I’m really excited about getting to know more former students, their families and staff members to further build School’s alumni community. I live in Codsall with my husband Richard, children Olivia and Alex and our Cavapoo Pippa. I am a keen runner, competing in half marathons, and have recently taken up yoga.’
Development Director, Tina Erskine, is delighted with the new appointments: ‘Ed Cornaby (OW 2008) left us in April for pastures new, after just over two years in his role as Alumni Officer; we wish him every success. Plans to expand the team and level of activity were already in hand and we are all excited about what lies ahead, connecting with more OWs and our wider School community, in more ways and more regularly. Watch this space!’
