Teenage Cancer Trust representative, Grace Higgins, was overwhelmed to receive a cheque for £7,500 from our 2022 Coast 2 Coast team this morning.
At the end of May, the nine students took on the School’s annual ‘Coast 2 Coast’ challenge that follows the famous Wainwright route across the country from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay. Year 10 students Caleb, Nacardo, Sachi, Elliot, Luke, Mason, George, Kyla and Jasraaj, completed the gruelling 170-mile journey in just under 26 hours.
Grace told the team, “We can’t thank you enough it takes real grit and determination to do what you did; all of the money you have raised will make a real difference to teenagers and young adults living with cancer.”
Next year will see the 25th anniversary of the Coast 2 Coast Challenge at Wolverhampton Grammar School. Students and staff are due to reunite to celebrate the many causes supported and monies raised over the years; as well as a new group of students who will undertake the challenge for the first time.
