Library Services

Wolverhampton Grammar School Library Service has been designed to meet the needs of our students during each stage of their development.

Mrs Rowley manages the service as a full time Librarian, with the support of Mr McAllister. Between them, they have worked to create a welcoming, comfortable 21st Century Library for all students to enjoy.

ICT facilities and a growing range of resources ensures that the Jenyns and Sixth Form libraries are ideal venues for students to complete work, research or simply relax and read.

Our libraries are open to students throughout the day and during lesson time. This provides teachers with an opportunity to book the Jenyns Library or computer suite, so that they can use the books, computers and other resources to extend their area of the curriculum. Students also have access to Research Skills sessions, which Mrs Rowley carefully plans and leads.

We are constantly developing and updating our range of resources to ensure that the Library Service continually meets the requirements of our students and inspires them to read. To encourage a love of reading authors, poets and storytellers are regularly invited into school to lead writing workshops and book discussions. Literacy activities and book clubs also regularly take place for both the Junior and Senior School.

Your Online Library Service

Our Online Library Service provides access to a wealth of information, which is compiled specifically to support each area of the curriculum and promote reading for pleasure. The online library will be regularly updated with research guides, recommended reads and event details, all of which can be accessed from any location at any time.
