Wolverhampton Grammar School has been announced as a finalist in this year’s TES (Times Educational Supplement) Independent School Awards 2016.

The TES awards celebrate those making remarkable strategic contributions to independent schools across the UK, providing benchmarks for the sector as a whole and networking opportunities for schools to learn from each other. All shortlisted schools demonstrate value for money to their parents.

Kathy Crewe-Read, Head of Wolverhampton Grammar School said “It’s an incredible achievement to reach the finals of such a prestigious, national award and every single member of our School community should be proud of the contribution they make every day. This award recognises that despite being one of the oldest schools in the country, we remain very much at the forefront of great education.”

Entry is open to all independent Schools across the UK and it has been announced that Wolverhampton Grammar School is a finalist in the “Senior Leadership Team of the Year” category.

The overall winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Friday 25 November 2016.

This is the third time this year that Wolverhampton Grammar School has been nationally recognised. In July, the School reached the finals of the Education Business Awards “Outstanding Progress” and “Sports” categories and Wolverhampton Grammar School’s catering partner, Holroyd Howe were named Education Caterer of the Year at the prestigious “Foodservice Cateys”.
