Becky is a Managing Director with 22 years experience working in the oil and gas industry and in 2012 was named in the Australian Financial Review’s “100 Women of Influence”. In 2016, Becky had a career change after being asked to join Network Rail. She is currently the Route Managing Director for the UK’s South West (Wessex) Region which includes the UK’s busiest stations London Waterloo and Clapham Junction. Prior to studying Economics & Sociology at York University she attended WGS (1989-1991) and was Head Girl in her final year.
Ben is currently the Deputy Head of News at the Home Office. He enjoyed a decade-long career in journalism and in 2010 joined the Civil Service. Alongside occasional stints at Number 10, where he ran the Government news management process known as “The Grid”, Ben has spent most of the last seven years working in the he Home office, helping to shape the media response to some of the most challenging issues and events of recent years. Ben enjoyed an extremely happy seven years at WGS (1988-1995) before reading Economics at the University of Nottingham. After his graduation, he travelled around the world with twelve friends comprised predominantly of WGS alumni, who remain his closest friends to this day.
