HOWITZER HOCKEY BRINGS EIGHT SCHOOLS TOGETHER

The 18th annual Wolverhampton Grammar School 7 a-side Hockey tournament welcomed school from across the region to campus to play an afternoon of mixed teams.

hockey tournamentGreat weather, a state-of-the-art astro turf and the school’s 23 acre campus provided the perfect backdrop to an afternoon of great sport. All students played well and made the most of the opportunity to compete against competitive teams.

A thank you to all the schools who took part in the tournament, including: Old Swinford Hospital, King Edward’s Five Ways, Shrewsbury School, Hereford Sixth Form College, Shrewsbury Sixth College, Abbotshulme and King Edward’s Stourbridge Sixth Form College.

Hockey-tournament-3Nic Anderson, Deputy Head and Boys’ Hockey Coach for Wolverhampton Grammar School said “This is our 18th year of inter school, mixed team hockey at Wolverhampton Grammar School and remains my favourite afternoon of the season.

 

The matches are competitive, but all played in a good spirit. We enjoying welcoming other schools to our campus.“
