As well as being responsible for teaching lessons across the curriculum in Year 5, Truan is the head of boys’ games for WGJS.
A keen sports participant over many years, Truan now spend most of his time coaching and encouraging pupils to enjoy sport and take it up competitively.
He is responsible for the coaching of teams from u8-u11 and assists in the coaching for U12 rugby and cricket.
Truan is also the maths coordinator in the Junior School.

Truan started his career at Manor Primary in Wolverhampton, a local school that has won many awards for its national results in SATs. He arrived into teaching a little later than some aged 26, having worked in the gas industry and hotel industries.
He has worked at WGS since the Junior School’s inception in 2011 and was drawn to the school thanks to its combination of sport and activities as well as a modern approach to independent education.

Truan lives with his wife, daughter and 2 terriers. He still enjoys triathlon training to keep fit.
