Wolverhampton Grammar School
As Head of Geography Tom leads a team of 4 who provide a rich and exciting geography diet to the students here at Wolverhampton Grammar School.
The aim of the Geography Department is to inspire a curiosity in the world around us and develop an understating of the major social/political physical and environmental issues that are facing the world today and in the future.
In addition to being Head of Geography Tom is also an active and keen member of the ICT committee who oversee and coordinate the use of IT in the teaching and learning here at WGS.
Tom is also a Sixth Form tutor.
Tom is also a keen climber and is responsible for the running and maintenance of our climbing/boulder wall here at WGS.
Tom’s teaching career started at Woodrush High School in South Birmingham where he worked for 5 years. He then moved to Wolverhampton Grammar in 2002 and was promoted to Head of Department in 2006.
I enjoy working at WGS as it is a very supportive and friendly community, where new ideas and different approaches to teaching and learning are welcomed and encouraged.
Tom enjoys travelling with his wife and two young boys, cycling, and sport climbing.
