Peter’s role includes delivering and directing A level Psychology in the sixth form
Although Peter has many teaching interest his main subjects are Neuroscience, neurology, evolutionary explanations of human behaviour and Philosophy, particularly the legacy of AJ Ayer and Bertrand Russell. He enjoys teaches P4C to WGJS students
Peter’s research interests include Language and the neurological mechanisms that underpin it, from deficits such as aphasias, particularly the intriguing link to schizophrenia, a disorder that remains elusive in terms of its aetiology
Peter also supports our school football by refereeing our students at all levels.
He also takes part in our Tuesday tabletennis club.
peter enjoys being involved in Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and training weekends and he also oversees the STEM students electric car project along with safety and technical aspects of its constant evolution, as tested at annual race events at Rockingham racetrack
Peter Began teaching in Edmonton, North London. Moved to Head of Department in Woodford Green, Essex. H moved with his young family to Welshpool, teaching in schools such as Leominster, Shrewsbury sixth form college and Llanidloes, Powys before moving to WGS in 2000

Peter has just restored a ’71 MGBGT from top to bottom, over an embarrassingly-long time frame (for sale!). He also currently rides a Triumph ST 1050 motorbike.
Peter’s wife is a French national (for sale!) which allows him to enjoy all things French
