Liz is responsible for the Modern Languages Department, which delivers French and German from Years 7 to 13 and Italian from Year 8 to 13.

There are three other full-time members of staff in the department and three part- time members of staff. In addition the department is very fortunate to have the help and support of foreign languages assistants for French , German and Italian.

Liz is also involved with Senior Games on a Wednesday afternoon, helping with training and umpiring matches.

She also helps with the training of the Coast to Coast team, participates in the annual ski trip and German exchange and runs a trip to the Rhine Valley.

Liz’ s teaching career has included posts at both state and independent schools, including a term’s cover work at Marlborough. college, before she went on a six month world tour. She started her teaching career in Surrey and then moved back to the Midlands where she grew up.She has been at WGS since 2006, after spending 2 years at Thomas Telford School prior to this.

Liz lives with her family in Brewood and has two children who have attended the school. She enjoys playing golf with her husband, cycling , running and swimming. She also enjoys reading,  cooking and travelling.
