Wolverhampton Grammar School
As Head of Department, Kath overseas the teaching of theology and philosophy to all students. A particular strength of the department is its ability to ensure all students have the opportunity to study the world’s major religions and key philosophical questions in a variety of ways appropriate to their age.
The department is committed to, and expects students to adopt, an academic and analytical approach to religious beliefs, philosophy and ethics from whatever religious or cultural standpoint they themselves come from.
The department is responsible for teaching Religious Studies at IGCSE and Philosophy of Religion and Ethics (Religious Studies) at A Level.
Kath oversees the work of Student Parliament. She also runs the Sixth Form Film Society and helps with Warhammer Club.
Kath’s teaching career has included posts at independent and state schools including Great Barr and King Edward VI High School for Girls in Birmingham. She has worked for Wolverhampton Grammar School since 2005.
Originally from the North East, Kath now lives in Birmingham.
