Dan is responsible for the running and strategic direction of the Junior School.

Despite being a busy Head, Dan is still in charge of Music and the Arts in the Junior School. He also has a responsibility for extra-curricular breadth, and oversees Performing Arts events, for both the Junior and Senior School.

Dan’s teaching career includes holding posts as Director of Music at Bournville Secondary School, Birmingham, and at King’s Hawford, Worcester. Previous roles also include a governorship at Worcester Sixth Form College, and until very recently, Vice-Chairman of the Worcester Competitive Arts Festival Committee. After two independent school deputy headships, and two terms as Acting Head, Dan took on the Headship of WGJS in April 2017.

The idea of having children and young people from the age of 7 to 18 all on one site, learning from each other both in and out of the classroom is something very special indeed.

Dan is a professional pianist and can often be found at the keyboard. His claim to fame is duetting with International Concert Pianist Elisha Abas in a coffee house whilst on holiday in Lisbon.
